A+A Scholarship
Art + Adventure Educational Tours Scholarship supports students who are pursuing educational travel experiences focused on art, history, and culture. Through this nonprofit program, learners gain the opportunity to explore the world while building creativity, independence, and real-world skills that extend far beyond the classroom. Scholarships help offset travel costs and are awarded to dedicated participants who demonstrate a commitment to personal growth, goal-setting, and global learning. Art + Adventure believes that meaningful experiences inspire confidence, broaden perspectives, and prepare students for success in both their academic and future professional journeys.

The John C. Pederson Arts Scholarship ($500) was established in 2026 through a generous donation of artwork by John’s family to the Traill County Arts Coalition, creating a legacy that reflects his lifelong dedication to the arts. Proceeds from the sale of these works directly fund the scholarship, providing support to emerging artists with a passion for creative expression and a commitment to their artistic growth. This scholarship honors John’s enduring impact on the regional arts community, his spirit of experimentation, and his belief in the importance of nurturing creativity across disciplines. Awarded annually, the scholarship seeks to encourage and assist students pursuing studies in the visual arts, helping to carry forward the kind of curiosity, craftsmanship, and artistic integrity that defined John’s life and work.
